SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE- NASUAD PROJECT HELD TO COMPLETION! Avoyseinu is honored to share the culmination of our efforts, as we witnessed the transformation of Nasaud Cemetery returning to its original dignity. This major endeavor, which involved fence construction as well as grave erection, was only achievable thanks to the dedicated efforts of our descendants and the support of the ESJF organization.
PISKOLT CEMETERY RESTORED TO ITS ORIGINAL SPLENDOR! We are pleased to announce that a comprehensive restoration project at the historic Piskolt Cemetery has been completed, marking a significant milestone in preserving our heritage.
Resting site of the Sieniawer Rav, Rebbe Yechzkel Halberstam zy"a, the Sieniawa cemetery in Poland is a place often visited by Jews around the world. Therefore, the news of the restoration of all stones in this cemetery struck a chord for many people. Pictures of the beautifully restored grounds and gravestones inspired all who have followed this lofty undertaking.
HFPJC is proud to launch the renovation of the Rachov Ohel, its 11th project this season, despite the challenges and obstacles faced by Covid-19. Our workers operated safely and efficiently to advance the various cemetery projects while ensuring that their health isn't compromised. Thus, we have merited to execute renovation and preservation in eleven cemeteries so far, with more slated to start soon.
The historical cemetery in Kasho, Slovakia, resting site of a host of venerated rabbis and scholars, underwent a series of important renovations, generously sponsored by descendants and followers. A substantial part of the wall was rebuilt, a lot for parking and a pathway was paved, and the ohels of the rabbis have begun a thorough renovation.
HISTORIC DISCOVERY! Descendants rejoice at the amazing discovery of their ancestral gravestone! After many years of negotiations, HFPJC was finally able to annex part of the cemetery that was excluded from today's registry. When the newly annexed plot was fenced and cleaned, many gravestones and gravestone stubs were found, among them the long-sought fragmented matzeva of Rabbi Shimon Lieberman zt"l, the Sena'r Rav!
The large cemetery in Szaniszlo, Romania, was successfully enclosed with a durable, concrete wall in a recent restoration undertaking. Descendants rejoice at this achievement in their quest to honor and commemorate their ancestral cemetery.
Intense intervention finally yields positive results for the cemetery in Gibart, Hungary. After many years of being only partially enclosed, HFPJC secured permission to annex a large part of the original cemetery property that was excluded from current maps, and a new wall was built to fence in the entire cemetery.
HFPJC commends the amazing efforts of the Almosd descendants on behalf of their ancestral cemetery. Following an evaluation in mid-2019, the families immediately united in their goal to restore the abandoned cemetery and 460 members donated small amounts, which gradually accumulated to cover all costs. Thus, they succeeded in restoring the cemetery fully in record time!
